Youth Mental Health

Supporting the Integration of Mental Health ServicesThis initiative supports youth on school campuses, provided by managed health care in partnership with school districts, community service providers, and County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services in alignment with Cal-AIM.

  • Ensuring access to mild/moderate mental health treatment services through school-based settings for both medi-cal and commercial health plans.
  • Added Focus September 2023: Workforce Development. Increase the number of qualified clinicians available in Stanislaus County to meet the mental health needs of our children.

Our Goal

The initiative's goal is to provide coordination and facilitation to create and actualize the work plan necessary for the integration of services between managed healthcare, school districts and aligned partners, focused on implementing Cal-AIM requirements of providing mental health services to youth on school campuses. The Mental Health Work Group will develop the outcome recommendations to bring to the Steering Committee with a plan for staff and long term oversight of the work. Plan will then go to the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors for approval. Funding most likely will come from the Board of Supervisors, managed healthcare and SCOE.
